Suppliers may be required to complete corrective actions for nonconformances. If this is the case, Cook will send a formal request for corrective actions along with the requirements for response and implementation.

That’s why Cook has developed risk mitigation and business continuity programs that include multi-tier supply chain transparency. These programs are becoming more vital as we continue to experience an increasing amount of unexpected disruptions from disease, weather, geopolitical events, and more.

Cook has also established a Supplier Code of Conduct, outlining the requirements for supplier interactions with Cook Medical and its affiliates. The Code is designed to improve business relationships, help ensure ethical and legal compliance, foster an environment of partnership, and create value in our business interactions.
In addition to meeting ethics and compliance requirements, Cook Medical has also worked to become compliant with other regulations required to conduct business throughout the world, including the European Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR) and European Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (EU REACH), among others. Many of these regulations require visibility into all components that make up our finished products. For this reason, all components and materials that are used in Cook Medical’s finished products also are in scope of these regulations. We use third-party data collection partners to work with our suppliers to ensure compliance to the applicable regulations. Being a supplier to Cook requires cooperation and support of this initiative.
