Q: Why would you encourage physicians to attend Vista training?
A: Vascular surgeons are constantly searching for better ways to treat their patients.
In a small time period, programs such as Vista really allow physicians to get hands-on training, learn about the data surrounding how devices got approved, and most importantly, how to help improve their own care of their own patients.
It’s important for fellows and residents to understand what’s out there, so that when they wind up in practice on their own, they have really the most advanced knowledge of the best technology to help treat patients.
Q: What aspects of Vista training do you find most beneficial?
A: One of the most beneficial parts of Vista training programs is the ability to have hands-on demos of the actual devices. As vascular and endovascular surgeons, we all like to use newer technology, and that means having it in our hands.
Q: What opportunities do you see for a customized training pathway on the full Zenith portfolio?
A: It’s important to create a career-long relationship between the vascular specialist and the pipeline of products that Cook has to offer. We should all want to learn about newer technology, newer devices, and even newer concepts for how we approach patients. That’s one of the best ways to get the most educational benefit from these Vista programs.
