Cook’s Critical Care division recently invited a group of managers from its Latin America preferred distributor partners to Cook headquarters in Bloomington, Indiana, for a week of intensive product training. Representing Mexico’s Endomédica were Izchel and Jose Luis. E. Tamussino in Brazil was represented by Roniston, Debora, and Fabiana.
They were welcomed by Cook Group President Kem Hawkins, who led the group on a tour of Bill Cook’s office and shared reflections on Cook’s “patient-first” philosophy.
“I almost cried during the tour,” Fabiana said. “I was really impacted by the reminder that we truly do put patients first.”
Throughout the week, the group participated in product training led by Critical Care Sales and Clinical Coordinator Matt Repasy. The visitors toured Cook’s production facilities, where they saw wire guides and catheters being made. The group was also given a tour of Cook Polymer Technology.
“It is very important to see how the products are made,” Jose Luis said. “It makes us appreciate the efforts of each person. When we sell products in our country, we don’t see the work behind it. Here, we saw the detail that was used and the care that Cook puts into each product.”
“As Critical Care experiences rapid growth in Latin America, it’s increasingly vital for us to develop and maintain close relationships with our distribution partners there,” Americas Sales Manager Scott Dougall said. “This visit was an important step in that process, and now these managers can bring a deeper understanding of our products and marketing to their sales teams in Mexico and Brazil.”
As we spoke, the conversation kept coming back to one thing: the quality and care put into our products.
“Amazing,” Debora said. “It is amazing.”
