I am the regional manager for the Intervention Radiology (IR) business unit for Germany, Austria and the German-speaking part of Switzerland and Hungary.
How long have you been with Cook?
I began working for Cook over a decade ago in 2003. I started out as a sales rep for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and moved into my current position as IR regional manager in 2009 when the IR business unit started.
What do you like most about your job?
There are many things I like. I really enjoy working with my team and being able to apply new strategies and ideas to the healthcare market in my region. My job allows me to look at the big picture regularly but also to delve into the details and do some fine-tuning. I believe that having the option to learn as well as teach/mentor at the same time creates a very exciting day-to-day experience with my work.
What inspires you?
I find being part of such a great team inspiring. Our team isn’t just the local level, it’s national and worldwide. Working with Cook I have the opportunity to develop myself as well as the people I work with. My job entails being responsible for over 100 million potential patients. This means that any of these potential patients could be a family member, a close friend or someone you know very well. I’m inspired by knowing that my job is to make sure these patients get the best options for treatment by their doctors using one of Cook’s high quality products.
