West Lafayette, Ind. – Jennifer Kerr, president of Cook Research, was named to the 2017 class of Hoosier Fellows through the Randall L. Tobias Center for Leadership Excellence at Indiana University. Participants in the Hoosier Fellows program come from across the state of Indiana and represent a cross-sector of industries including business, academia and non-profit organizations.
“Hoosier Fellows provides participants the opportunity for leaders to learn about other industries throughout Indiana and apply those learnings back into their own organizations,” said Pete Yonkman, president of Cook Medical and Cook Group and alumnus of the Hoosier Fellows program. “Jennifer has already demonstrated tremendous leadership within Cook, including her current role as president of Cook Research. We look forward to her continued contributions to address the evolving needs for patients around the world.”
The Hoosier Fellows program is dedicated to developing leadership in high potential experienced leaders. By focusing on the individual and his or her performance within the organization, Hoosier Fellows gain new skills and leadership competencies that help their organizations become stronger and more successful.
Kerr has been part of the Cook organization since 1995, when she started as a clinical research monitor. Kerr’s responsibilities have increased over the years, including when she was named president of Cook Research in 2015. Kerr is involved in a number of local initiatives in West Lafayette, including with her alma mater, Purdue University where she earned a bachelor degree in engineering and master of science in physiology. Kerr also represents Cook in national and international organizations and committees related to device development, clinical research and regulatory approvals.
