Bloomington, Ind. — Cook Medical has received a three-year contract from Vizient for peripheral vascular devices. The contract allows Cook Medical, which was recently named a finalist for the Vizient 2021 Physician Preference Supplier recognition, to offer negotiated pricing terms and conditions to Vizient members. Vizient annually recognizes suppliers working to ensure the success of their contracts and is the largest member-driven performance improvement company in the country.
“We were honored to be nominated for this recognition and look forward to continuing to offer vascular devices at contracted pricing to Vizient members,” said Rick Simms, Cook Medical National Account Executive. “Under this agreement, Cook Medical can offer products to Vizient member health care organizations efficiently and at lower costs, resulting in enhanced cost savings.”
The contract includes minimally invasive peripheral vascular devices, such as:
- Wire guides
- Micropuncture needles
- Support and diagnostic catheters
- Peripheral stents and balloons
- Vena cava filters
- Embolization coils
- Interventional drains
In addition to the contract for vascular devices, Cook Medical has contracts with Vizient for biopsy instruments and needles, interventional urology, and gastrointestinal biliary and lab accessories.
Cook Medical offers customers hands-on training programs for its products through Vista education courses. Its BusinessCare Integration team provides supply chain support and clinical expertise to all customers. Customers have access to a Customer Portal to easily order products and view the status of shipments.
