West Lafayette, Ind. – MED Institute (MED) has been renamed as Cook Research Incorporated (CRI) and remains located in the Purdue Research Park at 1 Geddes Way in West Lafayette, Indiana.
CRI supports Cook Medical in the identification, development, testing, and regulatory approval of innovative medical products. “Although Cook Research Incorporated is a new name, the company continues to provide the expertise and leadership developed over the last 30 years. By adding capabilities through the years of product development, laboratory and mechanical testing, regulatory strategy, clinical study design and management, and scientific writing we are able to assist Cook in the challenges impacting patient care,” says Jennifer Kerr, President of CRI.
CRI maintains certification to ISO 13485, accreditation to ISO 17025, and is inspected to ISO 14155. Additionally, CRI has approximately 150 test methods grouped into 50 categories accredited by A2LA.
The name MED Institute is now being used for a new Cook Group company that offers its services to external medical device companies. MED provides product development, pre-clinical and clinical testing, and regulatory approval services for their medical devices. With its extensive experience with regulatory agencies around the world, MED is well positioned to help clients develop and carry out comprehensive strategies to navigate complex regulatory processes and get devices approved.
