Bloomington, Ind., and Shaumburg, Il. – Dave Reed, retired vice president of Healthcare Business Solutions at Cook Medical, was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame for Healthcare Supply Chain Leadership by the Bellwether League, Inc. This year, the Bellwether League elected Dave Reed and 7 other visionary leaders to be the Bellwether Hall of Fame Class of 2020 for their contributions to the healthcare supply chain industry.
The Bellwether League is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit corporation comprising influential experts in the healthcare supply chain industry. Each year, they identify and honor industry individuals who have dedicated their careers to leadership and progress in healthcare manufacturing supply chain distribution and education.
Reed served for more than 35 years in the life sciences industry. Previously, he oversaw Cook’s North American customer and distribution services. In his most recent role as vice president of Healthcare Business Solutions, he collaborated with various governing bodies and industry leaders to help adjust policies that make supply chains more effective. In 2019, Reed also received the very first Chuck Lauer Award, a recognition given to a healthcare supply chain industry professional who is dedicated to serving others. Reed retired from Cook Medical in March 2020. One hallmark of Reed’s career was his dedication to collaboration between suppliers and clinicians to increase patient access to high-quality medical products.
“I am honored by this recognition from the Bellwether League,” said Reed. “This is an exciting community of professionals who are passionate about improving the experiences of manufacturers, physicians, and patients when it comes to getting lifesaving products.”
Thanks to Reed’s expertise and dedication, Cook Medical is a leader in the healthcare manufacturing and supply chain industry.
