The pathway to a viable conversion

Our History

About Cook

Founded in 1963, Cook Medical is a pioneer in minimally invasive surgery. Our global manufacturing infrastructure streamlines production with distribution locations on three continents to expedite product delivery, and we’re able to provide dedicated support through our regionalized customer service centers.

  • 12,000+ employees
  • 40+ medical specialties
  • 135+ distributing countries

Sustainability & Environmental Practices

We’ve done a lot to reduce our footprint on the environment. From the efficiency of our facilities to the design of our packaging and the distribution channels we use to get our products to a patient’s bedside, we’re seeking ways to prevent pollution, to reduce waste, and to promote the sustainable use of natural resources.

Product Development

We remain focused on the research and development of new products to advance patient care, both through an internal pipeline that continues to support our core technologies and fill in the gaps, and by exploring external opportunities like our recent partnership with Quanta System. Our focus continues to be on stone management (ureteroscopy, PCNL, mini-PCNL), and our move into prostate health is bolstered by a full-line offering of laser systems for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Clinical Divisions

Healthcare is always changing, and we are passionate about our role in helping to solve not just clinical challenges but operational challenges that hospital systems face. Our two clinical divisions, MedSurg and Vascular, make it easier to work with Cook by improving our operations, streamlining the contracting process, and aligning our teams to meet the specific needs of our customers.

  • Medsurg – Critical Care, Endoscopy, Otolaryngology, Urology, Reproductive Health
  • Vascular – Aortic Therapies, Embolic Therapies, Interventional Therapies, Lead Management, PAD Therapies, Venous Therapies

Capital Offering

Laser Solutions

Through our partnership with Quanta System, Cook Medical delivers standardization for your urology needs with a comprehensive portfolio of holmium and thulium laser systems that feature the latest laser technology.

Core Technologies

Innovation comes standard. There are no hidden fees or added costs to access Quanta’s innovative technologies— Virtual Basket, Vapor Tunnel, and MasterPULSE.

Laser Portfolio

We offer a full suite of holmium lasers that includes low-, medium-, high-, and ultra-high-watt systems, a thulium laser system, laser fibers, and accessories

Quanta laser fibers are compatible across Quanta’s holmium, thulium, and thulium fiber laser systems. And there is no need for a specialized fiber to access the core technologies. The Quanta fibers are available in an assortment of different probe types
and core diameters.

The Cyber TM 200 gives you the versatility to treat BPH by means of vaporization or enucleation. The thulium laser’s excellent cutting and vaporization speed remain relatively constant during the procedure, regardless of tissue vascularization. The laser beam penetrates only a fraction of a millimeter in the tissue, which gives you a high degree of control and reduces the risk of injury.

Cyber TM 200

Fiber Dust is a system that delivers a peak power of up to 500 W, with a maximum frequency of 2500 Hz. It can be operated in both pulsed and continuous-emission modes for soft tissue applications. The unique MasterPULSE technology included in Fiber Dust provides seven levels of pulse width modulation. Fiber Dust can be used with single-use fibers as small as 150 μm in diameter and with reusable fibers.

Service Plans

We recognize that the purchase of a laser system can be a significant investment for your facility, and we want to ensure long-lasting operation by providing dedicated management, service, and support.

  • Loaner equipment at no additional charge during extended periods of service
  • Preferred rates outside of coverage hours
  • 95% uptime guarantee, which ensures you’ll be back up and running in a timely manner

  • 24/7 troubleshooting and service support by phone or email

Placement Options*

In addition to a cash purchase for a new laser system, we offer the following placement options:

  • Purchase Via Installments – Monthly rental fee. That fee is applied to the purchase price of the laser with an option to purchase equipment over an extended term.
  • Fee Per Use – This offering requires no capital expenditure. You have the option to purchase capital where a usage fee is added to the contracted price of laser fibers in order to pay down the cost of the equipment.
  • Rental with Option to Purchase – Flat fee each month. The monthly fee may go toward the purchase of the laser, and you may purchase the laser at any point during the agreement.
  • Rental with No Option to Purchase – Equipment placed through a monthly usage fee. The monthly fee will not go toward the purchase of the laser, and Cook retains ownership of the equipment.
  • Rebate Program – There is no upfront cost. The rebate program is designed for customers who commit to 80%. A percentage of the spend is applied to the purchase of the laser.
